Arusha National Park is 137 sq km in size. It’s located in Northern Tanzania 25km from Arusha town and 35 kilometers from Kilimanjaro International Airport; it is the closest national park to Arusha town. With in this park are Ngurdoto Crater, Momella Lakes, and Mount Meru. This park is home to more than 300 bird species, which live in the shadowy montane forest, rainforest, swamps and lush savannah at the crater floor, while alpine moorland in the slopes of Meru Mountain.
Animals in this park include: elephants, giraffes, African buffalo, Zebra, Colobus monkey, bushbuck, reedbuck, waterbuck, warthog, Leopards, spotted hyenas and warthog.
Bird species include: waterfowls, Flamingos, African Marsh Harrier and Taita Falcons
